• Other Instructions: Blood collection is often recommended on Day 2–5 of your menstrual cycle, unless your healthcare provider advises a different timing.
  Fasting may be required if your doctor has requested additional tests such as insulin or glucose. Follow the instructions provided before your appointment.
  Inform your healthcare provider if you are taking birth control pills, fertility medications, hormone replacement therapy, or other hormonal medications, as these may affect your results.
  If your menstrual periods are irregular or absent, let the laboratory or your healthcare provider know, as this will help with proper interpretation of your hormone levels.
  Try to have your blood sample collected in the morning, especially if testosterone or certain other hormone levels are being measured.
  This test is usually interpreted alongside a pelvic ultrasound and your clinical symptoms to provide a complete assessment for PCOS.
